Shreyas is an illustrator-designer from Chennai, India, who makes non-fiction comics and zines about gender, identity, memory, and community narratives. She is interested in the ways visuals of gender are linked to cultural concepts of gender. Through illustration, she illuminates relationships between the personal and cultural.

Her work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators, American Illustrators, Communication Arts, Broken Pencil, and the Ignatz Awards. Shreyas co-curates the TL;DR Zine Archive, an ongoing collection and traveling exhibition of zines about design, illustration, and visual culture. She founded and co-organizes Bad Drawing Club, a monthly drawing group in St. Louis for people of marginalized genders.

She was trained in graphic design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and holds an MFA in Illustration Practice from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore. She is an Assistant Professor at WashU’s Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
